Ghana one of the most peaceful Nations in Africa is on the West Coast of Africa, they became independent in 1957.

Ghana shares the border of the Ivory Coast to the West and Togo to the East. To the South is the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean.

 Accra is the capital of Ghana and is very hot as it is very close to the equator.

Cape Town is South Africa's most popular city and home to the popular Table Mountain, beautiful coastline and stunning beaches. 

It is also the furthest you can go South on the African continent.

Cape Town beaches are certified blue flag meaning they meet high environment standards.

Robben Island is where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. Today that prison is a museum that you can visit.

Johannesburg is the 2nd largest city in all Africa. They are 2nd behind the City of Cairo in Egypt. The city has been rebuilt 4 times! 

It was formed by a gold rush in the 19th century. Simply known as the cradle of humankind it is home to 40% of the planets

human fossils and one of the richest archaeological sites in the world.

 Nairobi is known as one of the top ten cities in Africa and is also known as the green city. Nairobi is the capital of Kenya.

Nairobi has its old buildings alongside its new towering skyscrapers.

Nairobi means cool waters, this was because of the Nairobi rivers which flows through the city.

 Ethiopia os tje ;lowest place on the African continent. It is t125 meters below sea level and has about 25% of Africa's volcanoes. It is one of the hottest places on earth and it does not receive much rain. Ethiopians have 13 months on their calendar so technically they are a few years behind us. Not only is their calendar different, so is their time.

 The capital of Tanzania is Dar Es Salaam. Nearly 30% of Tanzania is National Parks. It is regarded as an excellent safari destination. 

Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa. It is over 5800 metres above sea level and the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.

This mountain is a dormant volcano and you can enjoy it close up by hiking it or you can view it from afar.

 Zanzibar is not one big island, it is a cluster of 46 islands, the largest referred to as Zanzibar, the capital of which is Zanzibar City. Many people think Stone Town is the capital of Zanzibar but it is in fact a UNESCO world heritage site so it is definitely worth visiting.  Zanzibar  is known as the spice island producing cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper. There are spice tours not to be missed, which will educate you on the history of this island.

 Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco. It is home of Africa's ;arges mosque. People from all over the world go to the beaches in Casablanca to surf, there is a surf competition here every year. Rabat is the capital city, even though Casablanca is the largest.  

Casablanca is the same size as California. Did you know that Africa's highest ski resort is in Morocco?

 The capital of Zimbabwe is Harare. It is a landlocked country, surrounded or shares borders with Botswana,

Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia and Namibia. Zimbabwe has 16, official languages, one of which is English. Zimbabwe has five UNESCO heritage sites, Victoria Falls one of the well known ones. It is one of the world's biggest waterfalls.

 Victoria is the capital of the Seychelles, it is the smallest capital in the world and can be easily explored on foot in less than a day. When we think of Seychelles we think of beautiful beaches, but the Seychelles is more than just that. Let's see what they have to offer. It once was a pirate hideout and it is rumored that there is buried treasure here.
